The renowned chef Alain Ducasse has been appointed Head Chef of Le Meurice, the first Paris hotel to receive the prestigious “Palace” rating from the French Government.

The new Head Chef added: “I am honoured that Franka Holtmann, general manager of Le Meurice, with the support of Francois Delahaye, chief operating officer of Dorchester Collection, has asked me to come and join Le Meurice.” Le Meurice is one of the six top-end hotels in Paris to receive the “Palace” rating, introduced by the government in 2011, alongside Le Royal Monceau, Four Seasons George V, the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme, the Plaza Athénée and Le Bristol.
